As part of precautionary biosecurity measures, the Tönnies company has equipped its slaughterhouse with a vehicle decontamination sluice. The stationary disinfection gate DESTOR ST 200 from Meier-Brakenberg was chosen for this purpose.
The gate offers highly sensitive sensor detection for all types of passing vehicles and automatic mixing of the disinfectant solution. The applied decontamination solution is collected in a 70 mm high painted steel tray measuring 4.3 x 3.7 m. The vehicle look runs automatically with an appropriate storage container and is a suitable preventive measure for all farms with traffic of agricultural vehicles.
