Stationary group scale: also used for sorting hogs

For sorting the hogs before sale, the low-floor scale can be used very efficiently in addition to the individual animal scale. The stationary group weigher is increasingly used on fattening farms, especially when zero point weighing is used, for weight grading and optimal utilization of the weight masks of the slaughterhouses.

For this purpose, the scale is moved on the central corridor with the chassis in front of the respective compartment. It is much easier to drive a whole bay of animals onto the scale and then let the animals off the scale one by one than to drive the fattening pigs one by one onto the scale. When the animals are all on the scale, the weighing display is tared to zero. After the first animal has been released, the weighing display shows the individual animal weight with a minus weight. The pig is marked. The pig is tared again and so on until all pigs are weighed individually. The weights of the animals are stored in the same way as other weighings. The traffic light display can also be used for sorting to quickly mark the animals without having to think about which colour is required. The animal scales are built in widths of 1.10m, 1.40m and 1.80m. The length is selectable from 2.10m to 5.10m. Special sizes are possible. Ten fattening pigs fit onto a size of 1.80m x 3.10m. About 16 animals with a weight of 130 kg fit onto the size 1.80 x 5.10.
