Disinfection Gates for ASF defence

On Thursday, the authorities detected African swine fever in wild boar found dead in Belgium at the border triangle of France, Luxembourg and Belgium, some 60 kilometres away from the German border. So far there is no case in Germany.

Not only now does this pose a serious threat which is why Meier-Brakenberg, on behalf of the Animal Disease Prevention Society, has been working on the development of completely new types of disinfection gates over the past two years.

The result is mobile and stationary designs that guarantee automatic full-surface vehicle decontamination. The mobile variants can be set up with two people within 30 minutes for acute disease defence. Stationary decontamination archs can be set up at all farm boundaries to provide biosecurity measures. These include agricultural operations, slaughterhouses, concentrated feed plants, game collection points or carcass disposal plants.
